TERM
DEFINITION
Testing
Testing of equipment to determine that the unit func-
tions properly within specified limits.
Tolerance
The range of variation allowed in maintaining a speci-
fied dimension in making part.
Torque
To tighten a nut, bolt or fitting, using a torque
wrench, to a specified torque value expressed as inch-
pounds or as foot-pounds.

Wear
Relatively slow removed of panrent material from any
cause, frequently not visible to the naked eye.
