a removable wheel swivel locking pin. The rear suspension units are provided with a steering arm which connects
to the tie rods.
TONGUE AND TIE RODS
The tongue is attached to the steering bar and the tie rods are connected between the steering arms of the rear sus-
pension units for towing and positioning the platform for maintenance.
STAIRS
The stairs consist of two front and two rear legs attached to the rear of the undercarriage frame and to the work plat-
form at the front of the Maintenance Platform. Eight steps are attached to the rear legs with a first step attached to
the frame.
ERECTING STRUT
The erecting strut consists of two jack screws, one connecting each front stair leg to the undercarriage frame. Each
jackscrew is equipped with a hand wheel for raising or lowering the work platform.
WORK PLATFORM
The work platform with a cushion bumper strip is mounted at the elevating end of the stairs.
HAND AND PLATFORM RAILS
Handrails are provided to protect maintenance personnel while ascending or descending the stairway. The platform
rails protect maintenance personnel from falling from the platform when working.
STATIC DISCHARGE REEL
The static discharge reel is used to ground the platform and store the grounding wire when not in use.
