1-16. DESCRIPTION OF LASER TRANSCEIVER UNIT (LTU) ASSEMBLY
The LTU assembly is mounted top center on the day sensor subassembly. The assembly produces
pulsed laser energy to illuminate selected targets. Major assemblies of the LTU are:
• Receiver assembly
• Interferometer assembly
• Cooling unit/cavity box assembly
• Pulse forming network assembly
