b. The azimuth gimbal assembly provides azimuth and elevation control to the TADS system. Major
assemblies are:
• Frame
• Azimuth drive assembly
• Inner gimbal assembly
• Elevation drive assembly
• Angular accelerometer A6
• Electronic control amplifier A4
• Electronic control amplifier A5
c. The lower support assembly is bolted to the aircraft interface assembly. It supports the azimuth
gimbal assembly.
